Privacy Policy

This page explains what information Domibot collects when you use the site, where it goes and how to contact us about it. We have tried to keep it short and specific. Last updated October 14, 2026.

The Short Version

Here is the summary. The sections below give the details.

  • You can use every Domibot tool without an account.
  • We save each appraised domain and its result, but nothing about who searched for it.
  • To complete an appraisal, the domain you enter is sent to a few public lookup services, listed below.
  • We use analytics to see how the site is used, subject to your cookie choices.
  • If you contact us, we keep your message so we can reply.
  • Domibot never registers, buys or backorders names that people search.

Domain Appraisals and Lookups

When you appraise a domain, our server calculates the value and looks up the domain’s public registration record at rdap.org. We save the domain, its result, its registration year, the version of our rules that produced it, the dates it was first and last appraised and how many times it has been appraised. We do not store your IP address or anything else that identifies you alongside it.

We use saved appraisals to show the same result every time a domain is checked, to measure how close our estimates come to real sales and to understand which kinds of names and keywords people are pricing. We never register, buy or backorder the domains people appraise.

Once a day, our server sends the words from recently appraised names to DataForSEO, a keyword data provider, to look up how often people search for them. Only the words are sent, never anything about who appraised them.

To stop automated abuse, our server keeps a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for one minute to limit how many appraisals can be run in a row. It is not linked to the domains you appraise and is deleted automatically.

To show website, email, extension and history details, your browser also sends the domain name to these public services:

  • Google Public DNS, with Cloudflare DNS as a backup, for DNS records
  • The Internet Archive, for the Wayback Machine’s saved copies

These services receive the domain name and, like any website, your IP address. Their own privacy policies govern what they do with it.

If you share a result, the link contains the domain name, so anyone you send it to can see which domain you appraised.

Contact Form and Email

When you use our contact form or email hello@domibot.com, we receive your name, email address, any domain you mention and your message. We use this only to reply to you and to improve our tools. Form submissions are stored in our WordPress site and sent to our inbox. We do not sell or share them, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Analytics and Cookies

We use Google Analytics, through Google Site Kit, to understand which pages and tools people use. Analytics may set cookies and collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser and device type. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies in the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time from the cookie button on the page.

If we add advertising to the site, the ad partner may also use cookies, and we will update this page and the cookie banner before it goes live.

Fonts and Hosting

The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads. Like every website, our hosting server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not used to identify visitors or track searches.

Affiliate Links

Some pages link to registrars and services through affiliate programs. If you click one, the partner may set a cookie to record that you came from Domibot. That lets them pay us a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you.

What We Don’t Do

Some things are off the table, whatever the business case:

  • We don’t sell personal information, search data or saved appraisals.
  • We don’t register, buy or backorder domains that people appraise or search on Domibot.
  • We don’t require an account to use any tool.

Children

Domibot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your Choices and Questions

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it by writing to hello@domibot.com. We will reply within 30 days.

When our tools or services change in a way that affects your information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
